I'm pleased to report that I'm nearing the completion of the script. Last night I was thinking about it and I realized we have to sort out how the multiple proofers will read it. I have two suggestions. Either I send a copy to each proofreader and then make as many of the changes as I can without them conflicting or send it out one by one and send the next proofer the corrected copy. We'd have to figure out ordering for the second plan as well. Discuss.

as i said on ff.net, I think that even though it'd be more time consuming, you should send it to one person at a time. They'll mainly be checking for grammar, correct?

I'm inclined to acquiesce to your request. ^_^ I couldn't resist after I started typing 'inclined'. But yes, I think I do agree. It would be far less complicated for me to reconcile the changes made by various proofreaders going one at a time.

And while the proofers will be looking mainly for grammatical mistakes, feel free to point out any plot holes or discrepancies and problems with the dialogue or characterization, especially of the canon characters.

There was another one over on ff.net. Oh, and, someone else on ff.net who kind of offered. I haven't yet managed to get them to sign up here. I'll go check with them but so far it seems we will be going:

I'll be a proofreader. It will be easier for you, Rapunzel, to submit all the different changes us proofreaders make yourself, otherwise if you send it from one, they change it then send the changed copy to the next, some of the previous changes might be changed by future proofreaders, if you get what I mean.

And then people might read it and think, 'hang on, that doesn't sound right', and then wonder who did it.

Hey Repunzel,

This is Kilala from ff.net. I got your PM about the script. I'd be happy to look over your script and do some proofreading. I can't promise to catch all the spelling and what not, but I can usually pick out dialogue that suits the characters pretty well, Jack Sparrow is one of my personal favorites to write. ;D It gives me a chance to expand my vocabulary. lol I swear that pirate is a walking thesaurus sometimes.

I just thought I'd let you know that for some reason, all of the emails and messages coming from fanfiction.net are down. That includes all author, review and forum alerts, also any PM's sent from the site. I'm not even sure they got the error ticket that I sent them, so they would know about the problem. So you might have to manually check your forums to find out if anyone has been on there and if anyone has PMed you from there, you probably won't get it.
